Follow this Simple Rule if You're Getting Married at a Church

By a Former Wedding Planner turned Custom Wedding Stationer

Planning to get married at a church or a venue that your reception is not at? This tip is for you!

If you're planning to get married at a church it's highly recommended to have a separate insert card inviting your guests to the reception (or ceremony). This makes it very apparent that there are two venues.

Traditional etiquette says that your separate card should invite your guests to your ceremony and to list the reception on the invitation. But personally, I like the invitation to have the ceremony listed since its first chronologically and your guests should read the invitation first. Then your separate card invites your guests to your reception.

Do you follow the traditional rules of etiquette or do you break them?
